Job Summary: The Research Executive will play a crucial role in supporting our research team by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data related to agri-commodities. This position involves conducting market research, monitoring industry trends, and providing actionable insights to aid strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Market Research:

    • Conduct thorough research on various agri-commodities, including crops, livestock, and related products.
    • Analyze market trends, supply and demand dynamics, price movements, and trade patterns.
    • Collect and interpret data from primary and secondary sources such as surveys, industry reports, and databases.
  2. Data Analysis and Reporting:

    • Develop and maintain data models and databases for tracking commodity markets.
    • Prepare detailed reports and presentations on research findings for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
  3. Industry Monitoring:

    • Keep abreast of industry developments, policy changes, and technological advancements affecting agri-commodities.
    • Monitor competitor activities and market conditions to identify opportunities and threats.
  4. Collaboration and Support:

    • Work closely with other departments, such as marketing, trading, and finance, to support their research needs and provide data-driven insights.
    • Assist in the development of strategic plans and market entry strategies based on research findings.
  5. Documentation and Communication:

    • Document research methodologies, data sources, and findings in a clear and organized manner.
    • Communicate research outcomes effectively to team members and management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Economics, Statistics, Business, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in market research or data analysis, preferably within the agri-commodity sector.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in statistical software and data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS, Tableau).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of agricultural markets and commodity trading is highly desirable.
